Alaska Trip Day 13 – Ship Disembarkment/Travel to Kamloops, B.C., Canada

We ate our last cruise meal for breakfast, then headed off the ship. Mike and Teresa was staying in Vancouver for a night then flying home the next day. Doug and Renee took a taxi to the airport to get a rental car and started our trek toward Banff, Canada.

We arrived in Kamloops, Canada, about halfway to Banff from Vancouver. We visited a mall for a little while then got an early supper at a nice, but strange, restaurant called Local Puplic Eatery. Food was a little pricey, but was really good.

We walked a bit downtown Kamloops and came upon one of Renee’s favorite things, ice cream. Stopped at Scoopz Ice Cream and got some good cream!

Across the street from Scoopz was a nice park called Riverside Park. We walked around to see the sites. There was a playground, a water park, beautiful flower gardens, picnic tables, people biking around, etc. A very nice park to relax while we engulfed our ice cream.

Returned to our hotel and turned in for the night. Tomorrow, on to Banff, BC, Canada while stopping at a few places in between.
