Alaska Trip Day 11 – Ketchikan, Alaska

July 28, 2023

After our buffet breakfast, we got off the ship to visit a really cool resort town called Ketchikan. Another town that celebrates the totem poles. And is famous for a part of the town called Creek Street where you can visit some shops and view a river that flows down. At times you can see the salmon jumping/swimming upstream. We believe we saw at least one salmon jumping, but the rest of the salmon were kinda lazy today just swimming around.

After visiting Creek Street, we went downtown and hit some shops. We saw some strange creatures, too.

Later that afternoon, one of our excursions was a Lumberjack Show in downtown Ketchikan. It was about an hour long and was a lot of fun. Mostly comedic than expertise. However, the guys were good about chopping wood and climbing poles.

After the show, we returned to the ship for supper. It was a fun day and we were a little tired of walking. Tomorrow, we cruise on the ship through the Inside Passage.
