NE Trip Day 38 – Niagara Falls
Got up early to leave the campground to go visit Niagara Falls, about 30 minutes away. First stop after arriving was to get our tickets to the Maid-of-the-Mist boat ride. Before boarding we went out to the edge of the observation tower to see the American Falls and the Horseshoe Falls in the distance.
Then we donned our plastic ponchos and boarded the boat. It’s destination was underneath both falls. Purpose: to get you really wet and give you a closeup view of the extreme power of the waterfalls. It was nothing like we’ve ever done.
After we all got a little wet, we hiked around the park to see the different views of the American Falls.
After walking around a bit, we decided to ride the trolley over to Goat Island, the island between the American and Horseshoe Falls, to get a better view of the falls.
After returning to the campground, we took a walk with Marley around the grounds and saw a beautiful sunset over Lake Ontario. Nice way to end the day.
This resort wasn’t the fanciest of campgrounds, but well kept and a view to remember for a lifetime. Thank you, Daisy Barn RV Campground.
