NC Trip Day 6 – Outer Banks, NC

This morning we left about 7:30am to get ahead of a line of storms that had tornadoes in Mississippi and Alabama the night before. Rained off and on all day. Took us 8 hrs, which should have been about 6.

The trip made a big mess on our vehicles. After setting up the RV, we had to take some time to wash our Jeeps. They were a mess, especially for a brand new Jeep!

After the Jeeps were clean, we went out to see the area. We were disappointed to find out most of the things were closed due to being the off-season. The busy season was to start next weekend! Argh!

We did find a new place to eat south of our campsite name Oceanic Bistro. Their special for the night was 2 lbs of steamed shrimp and a side for about $10. We jumped on it and it was delicious! That was about 24 large shrimp!

Returned to the RV and slept on a full stomach! It was rainy and stormy most of the night. The wind shook the RV several times in the night. Winds were 20-30mps here.
